Each waterfowl hunter 16 years of age or older must carry on his/her person a valid federal Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamp ("duck stamp") signed in ink across the face. Electronic duck stamps are also valid for 45 days from the date of purchase, provided you comply with the state and federal requirements. Stamps do not have to be attached to your license. Duck stamps are not required for hunting coot, rails, gallinules, woodcock or snipe. Duck stamps are not required of minors 12 to 15 years of age hunting migratory waterfowl in New York State.
You may buy the federal "duck stamp" at most post offices, some sporting goods stores, or call 1-800-382-5499. The stamp may also be purchased from select online state hunting license vendors. A list of states selling e-stamps through their on-line license vendor can be found at the USFWS Duck Stamp page (leaves DEC website). Although an e-stamp is legal to use in New York, New York does not currently have the ability to sell e-stamps through our license issuing vendor. We hope to develop that capacity in the next few years. A stamp costs $25.00 plus shipping and handling for phone or internet orders. For e-stamp sales, shipping and handling fees may vary by state. Duck stamps are one of the success stories in wildlife conservation. Since their implementation, duck stamps have generated over $1 billion dollars that have been used to conserve or restore over 6 million acres of wetland habitat (leaves DEC website)!
Note that these are not Forever Stamps, which means that when the Postal Service changes its rates, you will need to print postage correction stamps to use with the older stamps you have already printed. This is just as easy as printing regular stamps.
With a rapidly a rapidly growing e-commerce industry and more than 20 million English-speaking online shoppers, the Canadian market presents a great opportunity for online retailers. Canada has one of the strongest e-commerce infrastructures in the world, including widespread internet access, ubiquitous mobile phone usage, and a well-established postal system (Canada Post) with that delivers to over 16 million addresses daily. Considering these advantages, Canada is usually the first international market that many U.S. e-commerce sellers will enter.
A tag is a component of a hunting licence. The tag authorizes the hunter to hunt the game species (such as wild turkey) indicated on the tag, subject to conditions listed on the tag (such as season, animal type or firearm). A tag can be purchased online, at a licence issuer or participating ServiceOntario location. Tags can be printed at home, or at a licence issuer or participating ServiceOntario. Review a list of printing dates in the Important Dates for Hunters section of the Ontario Hunting Regulations Summary. Any replacements will be tracked through the licensing service and must be obtained at a licence issuer or participating ServiceOntario.
All residents age 18 or older and nonresidents age 16 or older must purchase and possess a sport fishing license to participate in Alaska sport and personal use fisheries. In addition, a king salmon stamp is required to fish for king salmon (except king salmon in stocked lakes). These laws apply in both fresh and marine waters. Sport fish licenses and king salmon stamps may be purchased online, at most sporting goods stores, and at Fish and Game offices.
Alaska residents age 60 or older and Alaska disabled veterans who maintain their residency may participate in sport fisheries without a sport fishing license, but must apply for and possess an ADF&G Identification Card. Alaska Identification Card applications are available online and at Fish and Game offices. Holders of ADF&G Identification Card and resident anglers under 18 years of age and nonresidents under 16 years of age DO NOT need to purchase a king salmon stamp in order to fish for king salmon.
To participate in sport fisheries that have annual harvest limits (many king salmon and rainbow trout fisheries, see the Sport Fishing Regulations pages for the location you will be fishing), resident anglers younger than 18, nonresident anglers younger than 16, as well as resident senior and disabled veterans holding ADF&G Identification Cards must obtain a free Sport Fishing Harvest Record Card (PDF 94 kB), available online, at license vendors, and at Fish and Game offices, in order to record their harvest of those fish. You need to carry your harvest record card with you while fishing and record your catch immediately in the field, but do not need to turn in your card at the end of the season. Please retain your harvest card until the end of the fishing season.
